Privacy Policy
This policy covers Local Notion Watchlist, a personal desktop integration that reads a selected YouTube playlist and saves resource metadata in the account owner's connected Notion workspace.
1. Data we access
With your Google OAuth consent, the app uses the official YouTube Data API and the scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly. The permission can allow read access to your YouTube account; the implemented sync is limited to your configured playlist and its video metadata.
- Playlist and item IDs, playlist name and privacy status, channel identification, item order and playlist addition dates.
- Video IDs, URLs, titles, descriptions, channel names and IDs, publication dates, durations, availability and thumbnail URLs.
- OAuth access and refresh tokens needed to make authorized API requests.
- Relevant Notion resource entries, source links, properties and page content needed for deduplication, saving and verification.
The app does not request your Google password, payment information, email messages or contacts. It does not download video or audio files or retrieve transcripts.
2. How data is used
Data is used to sync the playlist you select, identify existing entries, preserve your existing edits, create new resource entries and verify saved results. A local ledger records completed items, errors and progress so the sync can resume and avoid duplicates. YouTube access is read-only; the app does not change playlists or likes.
3. Storage and security
OAuth credentials are stored on your Windows computer, encrypted with Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI) for your Windows user. Playlist metadata, sync progress, receipts and audit records are stored locally in the integration's .local directory. These records are not all encrypted; protect your Windows account, device and backups. Credentials are excluded from source control and public site uploads.
Saved resources are also stored in your Notion workspace. Relevant metadata and Notion content may appear in your Codex conversation or tool history. Requests to Google, Notion and hosted Codex services use their secure network interfaces.
4. Transfers to connected services
This is a desktop workflow that uses cloud services. Google supplies playlist and video metadata. The local workflow gives selected metadata and relevant existing entries to your connected OpenAI/Codex service to coordinate the sync and classify resources, and sends saved entries to Notion. These transfers provide the sync feature you request; the data is not published on this website.
Google, OpenAI/Codex and Notion handle data according to their service terms, privacy policies and your account settings. Review your Codex data controls before processing private playlist information. The operator does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, credit scoring or surveillance, or use it to train generalized AI or machine-learning models. Do not enable provider data sharing or model-training options for Google user data processed by this integration.
Local Notion Watchlist's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
The operator accesses individual records only as you authorize for the requested workflow, or when necessary for security, troubleshooting or legal obligations. No unrelated third-party access is provided.
5. Retention and deletion
Local credentials and records are retained until you remove them. Saved Notion entries and Codex histories remain until you delete them through the respective service; their backups and retention are governed by those services. Revoking Google authorization stops future authorized reads but does not remove existing copies.
- Stop or disable the local sync automation before deleting its records.
- Remove this app's access in Google Account third-party connections.
- Delete the integration's local credentials, metadata and audit files from its
.localdirectory, and any backups you control. - Delete saved Notion entries and relevant Codex histories separately if you want those copies removed.
For help with access, deletion or this policy, contact jaceyang8@gmail.com. The operator cannot delete data in accounts or backups outside their control.
6. This public website
The documentation site is hosted on Cloudflare. It has no sign-in, upload form, advertising or application analytics script. Cloudflare may process network information such as IP addresses and request logs to serve and secure the site. Following external links or opening an email link involves the relevant external service.
7. Changes
Changes will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Before accessing new categories of Google data or using data for a new purpose, the app will provide updated disclosures and request any required consent.
